Transient love - by gpt-3

Love is not forever,

Though it burns bright and true,

It flickers like a flame

And fades away from view.

The passion that we feel

May seem eternal and vast,

But time can dim its glow

And leave us in the past.

The promises we make

May hold weight for a while,

But circumstances change

And love can lose its style.

We long for something constant,

Something that will endure,

But love is not forever,

It's fragile and unsure.

Yet even though it fades,

It leaves a mark upon our heart,

A memory of the joy

That once set us apart.

So though love is not forever,

It's worth the risk we take,

For in its fleeting moments,

Our souls come alive and wake.

Here is to unsaid good byes

Unsaid goodbyes are very difficult to come to terms with.  At the dawn of the year two of my friends decided to put a pause on communication. One of them is in a faraway land, and the other stays hardly 3 km from my hamlet. It was easy for the faraway friend to stop communication. He just stopped messaging, calling, or taking any calls. The closer one asked me not to come and gave an assortment of reasons.

I can't stop thinking about what I might have screwed up to get into this situation. But again we are in an age where home and family can engulf us. They might have just got busy. Or maybe the whack job that I am, I organically blew them up, unaware.

I evaluated a situation where I could storm into my next-door friend's home and demand an explanation. But then it might not end up good, with a high chance of me finding myself and the wrong side of the law, or at the least destroying the relationship completely.

For now, I have decided to live with unsaid goodbyes. As my wise soul sister said - It's not about you. Your purpose in their life is over.
